Overview
The great migration in Masai Mara, Kenya, borders Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The plains during the wildebeest migration period are blended with animals. The wildebeest cross river Mara for green pastures of Serengeti plains. The crocodile waits in the river for a meal while lions follow the wildebeest for a catch.
Wildebeest is defined as a member of antelopes related to gazelles and Oryx. The wildebeest can be as big as around 250 kilograms.
The wildebeests in Kenya inhabit Masai mara National Reserve, which borders Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The wildebeest feed on the grass in the Masai Mara and Serengeti plains. During the dry season, the wildebeest move and migrate in search of green pastures.
Over 1 million wildebeest migrate from Masai Mar in Kenya to Serengeti in Tanzania yearly and vise vasa. Between mid-June and mid-October, the animal migration is known as the “7th natural wonder of the World.”
