Masai Mara Safari

6 Days

Overview

A Masai mara safari is a rewarding adventure. Kenya is blessed with so much natural wealth, making it the best holiday destination in Africa. Moreover, Kenya has unspoiled natural surroundings, such as the animal migration, Mt Kenya, the big five, birds’ paradise, the sun-kissed beaches of Mombasa and Malindi, and the spectacular landscapes. With so much natural wealth, no wonder Kenya has something for everyone.

The masai mara safari
Maasai Mara safari park is one of the most popular tourist destinations in East Africa. However, the reserve is primarily open grassland in the Great Rift Valley. Consequently, wildlife tends to concentrate most on the reserve’s western escarpment.

The Masai Mara is the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in mid-July and departing in mid-November.
Several mammal and bird species have been recorded in the Masai mara reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, so visitors hardly miss seeing the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). However, wildebeest are by far the Maasai Mara dominant inhabitants. As a result, the Masai Mara is home to incredible wildlife.

Their numbers are estimated in the millions. The Great Migration starts in mid-July each year when well over one million wildebeest and large numbers of other wildlife migrate from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania to fresh pastures in the north and then back south again in mid-November.
